KOTA KINABALU: Having confidence in his abilities paid off for cerebral palsy athlete Eddy Bernard, who won two gold medals in his inaugural outing at the recent 9th Asean Para Games.

The 16-year-old from the interior district of Telupid won the 100m and long jump at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
