Raja Nor Mahani passes away

IPOH: Raja Puan Besar Perak Raja Nor Mahani Raja Shahar Shah has passed away in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, at the age of 75.
 
In a statement, Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said Raja Nor Mahani, the wife of Raja Muda of Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, passed away on Tuesday at 5.07pm.

"Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah has decreed that Perak will be in mourning and the state flag will be flown at half mast until the funeral rites are completed.

"The funeral will be held at Istana Ar-Ridzuan, Jalan Raja Di Hilir here on Wednesday," he said.

"The people can pay their last respects starting from 10am until 11.30am, while dignitaries can do so from 11.30am," he added.

Dr Zambry said Raja Nor Mahani would be laid to rest at the Royal Tomb in Kuala Kangsar on Wednesday after Asar prayers. 

"In representing the state and its people, I would like to offer our condolences, and may her soul be placed among the pious," he said.
