Remand for minister's political secretary extended

PUTRAJAYA: The six-day remand period for the political secretary to a minister over a case involving misappropriation of about RM40mil has been extended by five days from Tuesday.

The remand extension order for Datuk Peter Runin, the political secretary to Human Resource Minister Datuk Richard Riot, was issued by magistrate Siti Nabila Abd Rashid at the magistrate's court here after hearing an application by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for further investigations to be carried out.
