Shafie rushes back to Sabah to help in investigations

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, who is embroiled in a graft investigation into federal rural development funds during his term as Rural and Regional Development Minister, returned to Sabah just hours before his close aide Datuk Peter Anthony was remanded over the case.

Shafie, the former minister and Umno vice-president who quit to join the Opposition ranks, said he was ready to give his side of the story to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
