MALAYSIA has seen a decline in foreign direct investment totalling RM11.8bil in equity outflow last year amidst the trade war between the United States and China, the House was told.
Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Dr Ong Kian Ming said the equity outflow was based on the market capitalisation of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE), which was measured between May and July 14 this year.
