Cops arrest self-defence instructor for allegedly molesting four girls


SHAH ALAM: Police have arrested a self-defence instructor for allegedly molesting four girls.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said they received the first report in connection with the case at around 1.53pm on Nov 2.

"The victim's mother alleged that her nine-year-old girl was molested by an instructor at a toilet at the self-defence centre in Shah Alam.

"Following that we received another three reports from other victims aged between seven and nine years old," he said in a statement on Saturday (Nov 4).

He said they claimed they were molested between September and October this year.

"We have arrested a 20-year-old suspect in connection with the case.

"The suspect is a private college student who has worked as a self-defence instructor for over a year," he said, adding that the suspect has been remanded to assist with further investigations.

Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal said the case has been classified under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act.
