Octogenarian suffers severe burns in car fire at Taman Bukit Serdang


PETALING JAYA: A senior citizen suffered 90% burns after his car caught fire at Taman Bukit Serdang.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar reported that a distress call was received at about 2.39pm on Saturday (Oct 5).

Firemen from the Seri Kembangan fire station were dispatched to the location.

The victim, a man in his 80s, sustained burns covering 90% of his body.

The car was completely destroyed in the incident.

The victim has been handed over to Health Ministry personnel for further assistance.
