Hit and run in Kajang being investigated as attempted murder, says police

KAJANG: A hit-and-run incident here is being investigated as attempted murder after a car was seen crashing into the victim before fleeing.

On Monday (March 3), Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said a report on the incident was lodged on March 2.

The report stated that the 42-year-old victim was hit by a car, resulting in injuries that prevented him from moving.

The incident occurred along Bandar Teknologi Kajang.

"Investigations led to the discovery of dash cam footage that recorded the incident where a black car purposely crashed into the victim after he stepped out of his lorry. He was then dragged to a road divider during the crash before the suspect's vehicle drove off," he said.

At around 11.15pm on the same day, a husband and wife, aged 73 and 65, were arrested to assist investigations.

"The suspects have no prior records. The victim sustained injuries to the hand and leg and is still being treated," he added.
