UK vote on Brexit based on people’s need for sovereignty

I AM writing to express my concern over Azmi Sharom’s Brave New World commentary, “Why people support the unsupportable” (The Star, Oct 12) in connection with the UK vote on “Brexit”.

First, I object strongly to the insinuation that the Brexit vote should be linked in any way to support for Donald Trump or Rodrigo Duterte.
