Two views to latest CLP rule


THE amendment to the registration for the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) by the Legal Profession Qualifying Board, Malaysia, as published on its website on Dec 21 was abrupt and came without warning for many law graduates.

The decision was made during a meeting of the board on Dec 7 and was retroactively enforced the next day. The announcement made no mention of any specific conditions regarding repeating candidates.
