Studying together and learning to appreciate diversity

I REFER to the article entitled “Malaysia to offer 5% of places for medical, dentistry, pharmacy courses to foreign students” (The Star, April 6).

The allocated 5% placement of foreign students for medical, dentistry and pharmacy courses at IPTA (Public Institutions of Higher Learning) will definitely cause an uproar among Malaysian citizens.
