PETALING JAYA: National champion Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin’s hopes of competing in next month’s Malaysian Open is in doubt after limping out injured in the second round of the Swiss Open in Basel.

The 24-year-old Iskandar, who reached the Malaysian Masters final in January, was trailing 17-21, 9-17 against Indonesia’s Muhammad Bayu Pangisthu when he decided to throw in the towel.
