BANGKOK: Malaysia's Mohd Hafiz Hashim smashed his way to his second consecutive Open title when he outwitted top seed Kenneth Jonassen of Denmark to win the US$80,000 Thailand Open men's singles crown here yesterday.
The 23-year-old Hafiz took an hour to overcome a gritty Jonassen before winning 15-13, 15-13 in a power packed final to pocket US$6,400 (RM24,320).
