Oppo's F5 selfie smartphone discounted by RM200

The Oppo F5 is a smartphones for selfie fans as it has a 20-megapixel front-facing camera.

Oppo's F5 smartphone, dubbed the "Selfie Expert", has been discounted by RM200 for the next three days, bringing it down to just above RM1,000. 

On a post on Oppo Malaysia's Facebook, the Chinese phone-maker said the promotion would be exclusively available on its official website and the Oppo Concept Store in malls. 

The promo runs from Friday to Sunday, with the discount pushing the price from RM1,298 down to RM1,098.

Released in Malaysia last November, the F5 is the first Oppo phone with an elongated display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.

Oppo refers to the F5 as a selfie expert due to its 20-megapixle f/2.0 front camera that comes with an Artificial Intelligence beautification feature that has facial feature optimisation to create what it claims a perfectly refined and natural selfie.

It has a 6in full HD+ screen, 16-megapixel f/1.8 main camera, 3,200mAh battery, rear fingerprint sensor and full metal unibody design. In addition to the fingerprint sensor, the smartphone can also be unlocked using facial recognition.

It's powered by an Octacore 2.5GHz processor with 4GB RAM, 32GB storage and runs on Android 7.1.
