WHO calls for stronger push in access to cancer treatment


KUALA LUMPUR: Governments should put in more effort to provide funding and access to cancer treatment to those who need it, says a representative from the World Health Organization (WHO).

Assistant director-general for Family, Women, Children and Adolescents at the WHO, Dr Princess Nothemba (Nono) Simelela, said countries were taking too long to reach the “poor of the poorest”.
